Required from Monday 13th June

Salary scale: SC 2-4 depending on experience and skills (£19, 852 - £22, 900.09, pro rata)

St John’s CE Primary School is a one form entry, vibrant, multicultural school situated in Archway, London.  Our most recent Ofsted report recognised that we are ‘a welcoming, supportive school where there is a strong sense of community’.  We are also very ambitious for all our children wanting them to be happy, safe and excelling in their learning.

We are looking for a new administrative officer to provide a welcoming and professional presence to all parents and visitors to the school, as well as being able to:

• Confidently and effectively communicate with staff, parents and outside professionals (including via email and telephone).

• Carry out a range of administrative tasks accurately and efficiently, including taking responsibility for attendance registers and data.

• Competently use a range of computer programmes including word and excel. Experience of using school information systems such as Arbor would be helpful.

• Deliver first aid and oversee medicines within the school (statutory first aid at work training can be provided)

The successful candidate will also need to be able to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate an ability to prioritise workload through being highly organised.

We can offer:

• A school that has an excellent leadership team, driven by the core belief that all children have the right to the best education

• Opportunities for CPD (including first aid training and a high level of support if new to the role)

• A vibrant, diverse community, including a supportive parent organisation

• A strong, committed and supportive team of staff and governors

Closing date for applications: Sunday 5th June at midnight. Shortlisted candidates will be informed on Monday 6th June. Interviews: Wednesday 8th June.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged. To make an appointment please phone the school office on 0207 272 2780 or Email: info@st-johnsholloway.islington.sch.uk

At St John’s we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff to share this commitment. Enhanced DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to this post.
