About Us

Due to continued success we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and personable Administrative Assistant & Receptionist to join the team at Laurus Ryecroft. You will become a key member of the Laurus Trust family, and will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the Trust.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Provide confidential administrative support to the school including the preparation of documents and reports using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Schedule appointments, arrange meetings, book meeting rooms and transport where required.
  • Raise purchase orders on the finance system when required.
  • Maintain an efficient filing system – both manually and electronically.
  • Input/extract information to and from computer databases.
  • Provide cover support for absent colleagues when required.
  • Arrange hospitality for staff as and when required.
  • Suggest improvements of operational procedures where necessary.
  • Respond to enquiries from visitors, staff and students.
  • Issue security badges to all visitors.
  • Answer and respond efficiently and professionally to all telephone enquiries.
  • Assist with locating staff and students when appropriate.
  • Receive all deliveries and parcels as necessary and ensure they are collected or distributed accordingly.

Key Skills & Experience 

  • Prior experience within a similar role is essential 
  • Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent 
  • Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous
