Description Applications are invited for the position of Administrative Assistant in the Secretariat of the Catholic Schools Office which is based in Newcastle. This is a jobshare position (FTE: 0.4 14 hours per week)
Position Requirements The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of functions including the management of printing, assist with room bookings and the provision of catering requirements, ordering of administration requirements, support for reception and other clerical duties.
Essential Criteria • Experience in the purchase of supplies
• Knowledge of MS Word, Access and basic data base operation
• Typing speed of 40 wpm
• Reception/switchboard experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Support for the ethos of Catholic education Working With Children number must be recorded on your application

Conditions of EmploymentConditions and Salary is in accordance with Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, Catholic Schools Office Employees Enterprise Agreement 2017 - Grade 3.

The Catholic Schools Office (CSO), is responsible for the leadership, efficient operation and management of systemic schools which educate more than 18,000 students in 45 Primary schools, 10 Secondary schools and one K-12 school in the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
