The Role:
• Perform reception duties and ensure the reception areas present a smart and professional image to all stakeholders
• Deal with a diverse range of individuals in a variety of situations in a tactful, congenial and personal manner in order to resolve issues positively and calmly
• General administration tasks; word processing, photocopying, scanning, mail merge, spreadsheets, input in SIMS or any other databases
• Using SIMs, Parentpay, InTouch or any other systems and running reports from these systems
• Co-ordinate parent evenings, option evenings, etc.; sending letters or messages to parents, liaising with the Site Team for room allocations, etc
• Assist with school events, open evenings, parent evenings, etc
• Communicate with outside agencies to arrange appointments for students and staff as needed
• Communicate with parents and students to arrange appointments
• Processing and distribution of all post
• Archive documents and keep all archives spaces tidy
• Arrange the School Photographer and perform all activities necessary for smooth
running of the day
• Be professional in all communications
• Take part in job rotation and shadowing to enable each member to perform all tasks
across all activities of the team
• Assist in the school library, first aid room and reprographics
• Attend meetings, take minutes and produce minutes of meetings as needed
• Always maintain confidentiality
• Perform all tasks across all activities of the Administration Services Team and any
other tasks relevant to the role

About You:
- At least five GCSE Grade C, English, Maths or equivalent or a Vocational qualification;
- Excellent communication and numeric skills
- Positive, can do attitude
- Experience of working with people in a variety of contexts
- Experience of using databases and various software packages
- Very confident with Word and Excel
- Confidentiality
- Administration experience
- Good record of health, attendance and punctuality
- Ability to improve existing practice
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage working time effectively and to develop professionally
- Confident to challenge the status quo
- Organisational skills
- Solution focused, can do attitude

Haydon School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Middlesex serving pupils from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Eastcote, Pinner has approximately 2000 students on record.
Haydon school was established in 1977 and converted to academy status in 2011 and was identified as outstanding by Ofsted in 2007.
