Administrator (Health & Safety) – Maternity Cover

Farleigh School seeks to appoint a highly organised individual to provide administrative support to the school’s facilities and estate management, overseeing health and safety compliance checks under the direction of the Estate Bursar on a fixed term basis commencing towards the end of April 2023 to cover a period of maternity leave.

The successful candidate will bring strong administrative skills, be conscientious about health & safety in the workplace and will have a professional and flexible approach to a broad and varied workload.

The successful candidate will:

·        Have a high level of IT competence and will be confident using varied IT packages including Outlook, Excel and Office

·        Be able to provide practical assistance to the Maintenance team

·        Have a knowledge of implementing risk assessments (desirable)

·        Demonstrate an interest and ability to learn about relevant health and safety compliance checks or the motivation to learn, including but not limited to Fire Extinguishers, Fire Exits and Fire Doors, Water Temperature, and Emergency Lightning

·        Liaise with contractors to organise site visits where required

·        Be able to communicate confidently with a broad range of people, including pupils, staff and contractors

·        Demonstrate an excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail

This is a part time position with the potential to work between 15-20 hours per week on a flexi-hours basis, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will receive a renumeration package which includes:

·        A salary of up to £15,000 per annum, depending on hours worked and qualifications and experience at the time of appointment
