Job overview

Are you seeking a new challenge?

Are you seeking to make a positive impact to the lives of young people?

E-Spired is seeking an exceptional administrator / receptionist to join the team.

E-Spired began as a part-time alternative provision, offering support to young people who were at risk of exclusion from school or those who had already been excluded. We have evolved and grown into a full-time independent school and alternative provision. In April 2018 during our first academic year Ofsted rated us as a GOOD school across all the Independent School Standards.

E-Spired will be moving to a bigger school site for the next academic year September 2018 and will be extending our curriculum.

We now have an opening for an exceptional Administrator / Receptionist to join our team. This is a front-facing role, being our first point of contact with visitors, students, staff and other stakeholder groups.

The right person will be responsible for upholding the vision and ethos of the school at all times and provide an excellent level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.  This role would be suitable for a job-share.

The ideal candidate will:

  • have experience of running an efficient reception and administrative service; ideally within a school environment.
  • have experience of liaising with students, parents, staff members and external stakeholders.
  • possess a warm and professional telephone manner with excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • be passionate about the development of young people and committed to E-Spired's ethos of reversing the trend.

If this sounds like you and you are seeking to be part of something inspirational and challenging, then we would love to hear from you.

E-Spired Centre of Excellence is an Independent School and Alternative Provision working with 14-18 year olds who have become disengaged with education.

The overall aim of E-Spired is to provide young people with the support, care and resources to commit to hard work in order to fulfil their potential. We do this by providing a holistic approach to engaging with young people through education, an inspiring motivational programme, work experience placement and mentoring.   Our culture is therapeutic.

Our black thread motto is “Reversing the Trend”. The ethos behind our motto is reversing labels that have become self-fulfilling prophecies impacting on self-image and self-esteem and which presents barriers to learning.  E-Spired is not just a school, but is a change programme and our theory of change is that a holistic, person-centred, therapeutic approach to engaging young people changes self-destructive negative attitudes and behaviours. We believe an approach which does not simply address the symptoms of disengagement, or lack of purpose, but draws alongside young people to engage, equip and empower will bring about positive change in their lives.

E-Spired opened its doors in October 2016 as a part-time alternative provision, offering support to young people who were at risk of exclusion from school or those who had already been excluded. Those young people committed to hard work, being willing to take responsibilities for their own behaviours, attitudes and actions. We are proud of the efforts that our young people made during that academic year, some moving on to engage with a college education.

Following a successful year, we applied to the DfE in the Summer of 2017 and became an Independent School and are proud to announce that during our first academic year 2017/18 as a school, Ofsted rated E-Spired as a GOOD school across all the Independent School Standards; visit our website to see the full report.
