Job overview

If you are an experienced administrator with excellent customer service skills, this position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role supporting the Estates Department of this prestigious boarding school during an ambitious redevelopment programme.  

One key project is transferring estates and Health & Safety data from one database to another, so accurate data entry skills are critical.  In addition, you will provide high quality office administration and your range of responsibilities will include filing, diary management, minute taking, responding to telephone calls, purchase orders and invoices.  

You will also be responsible for running an efficient and timely maintenance helpdesk and welcoming external contractors and visitors to the Estates Department.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have strong telephone and reception skills and experience with MS Office, Excel and Word. A positive, can do attitude and excellent communication skills are equally important.

Uppingham School is a mixed, Church of England independent secondary school with sixth form and boarding, located in Leicestershire. The secondary school, situated in Uppingham has approximately 791 students on record.

Uppingham School was founded in 1584, originally as a school for boys. In 1975 girls were admitted, and it became fully co-educational as of 2001. The majority of students attending the secondary school are boarders.
