Job overview

Manage the process of student recruitment

·      Respond to enquiries presenting a positive image of the school by phone, email or in person

·      Arrange and provide tours of the school

·      Process application forms ensuring all documentation is complete and filed

·      Organise assessment for the new students

·      Issue acceptance letters to parents when the child’s admission is agreed

·      Maintain and manage waiting lists for students both those with learning support needs and those without

·      Create class lists ensuring numbers are within agreed limits

·      Inform teachers of students requiring learning support and /or EAL assistance in their classes

·      Update class lists as students arrive and depart, informing staff of all changes

·      Communicate information about student enrolments to the Vice Principal and Principal as required

·      Add parents to relevant email groups and software

·      Update registration documentation to reflect changes in policy and practice:

·      Enrolment forms

·      Fee schedules

·      Equivalencies of different grades in different systems

·      Information to be sent to parents

 

·      Manage the assessment of students prior to their admission

·      Arrange CAT4 assessments or Early Years assessment with the teachers

·      Inform parents of outcomes

 

·      Liaise with Learning Support and EAL teachers to arrange initial assessments

·      Inform LS and/or EAL Co-ordinator to arrange assessments if this is indicated by LPE

·      Follow up to ensure assessments are completed

 

·      Ensure parents receive all school information they require

·      Ensure parents are fully briefed on (for example)

§ Calendar

§ Uniform

§ Stationery

§ Transfer certificates

§ Transport

§ Security procedures

§ Attendance procedures

§ How to contact teachers

§ Payment procedures

 

·      Manage student records and prepare reports

·      Assist the Receptionist in her / their absence, or as required

 

2.      Manage the process of students leaving the school

·      Issue leaving forms to teachers and check they are completed and signed

·      Issue leaving certificate

·      Archive records of former students

·      Delete parents from relevant email groups

 

3.      Attend and assist at school events

·      Attend school functions by arrangement in advance

·      Support the events with administrative, PR and practical assistance

 

4.      Be part of the front of house team responding to parental contact and refer to other staff when required

·      Manage the admissions email address

·      Receive parental comments in person, by phone or by email and attempt to resolve low-level issues

·      Record and communicate such contacts

·      Refer more serious issues to the appropriate member of staff

 

SOFTWARE

 

·      Update all student information on the Staffroom Software

·      Make sure all details are up to date

·      Add each student on the staffroom

 

 

ADMIN

·      Make class list with teachers

·      Update the Events Calendar for the academic year for whole school

·      Create the school calendar for the next academic year

·      Update the school map for the classrooms

·      Coordinate with the Property Manager on various housekeeping jobs, delivery and other odd jobs

·      Coordinate the annual school photographs, ensuring the orders are sent out and received, the money collected and tallied

 

 

COMMUNICATION

·      Letters to the MoE for approval of school trips

·      Liaising with MoE for all student approvals

·      Complete all MoE documentation pertaining to student information

Introduction

Multinational School Bahrain is an inclusive BSO (British Schools Overseas) accredited private school situated in the suburb of Adliya in Manama, Bahrain. The school caters for students from Nursery to Year 13 and boasts a dedicated Learning Enrichment Department offering support to students with varying educational requirements.

History

The school’s campus has a long and colourful history having previously housed the U.S. Embassy and the New York Institute of Technology prior to becoming a school in 2013.

The school initially followed the Australian curriculum before switching to the British curriculum under its new ownership in 2017 and is now a fully accredited British School Overseas. The vibrant and welcoming school community now comprises of over 50 different nationalities and continues to go from strength to strength.
