Although hours will normally be 8.15am-4.45pm flexibility is a key attribute.

BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts Academy is a 14-19 specialist academy sponsored by The Ormiston Trust and Birmingham City University.  Our founding partners are Maverick TV and the BRIT School.  The Academy continues to develop new partnerships from business and industry who are offering high levels of support, investment and opportunity for both students and staff. 

The Academy opened in September 2011 with approximately 325 students in Year 12.  We now have over 1000 students.

It is an exciting time for the BOA Group with the opening of two new schools; BOA Stage & Screen Production Academy (opened in September 2021) and BOA Digital Technologies Academy (due to open in September 2022). We are now seeking appoint a well-organised, efficient and enthusiastic team member to undertake the admissions and appeals service for the BOA Group and to ensure the successful completion of the annual admission round. In addition, the successful candidate will support the admissions for the post-18 foundation course.

The role will involve a wide range of tasks including: 

- Being involved in the marketing activities for BOA, BOA Stage & Screen Production and BOA Digital Technologies

- Planning launch and open event activities 

- The registration of student applications and the maintenance of all admission and appeals processes

- Liaising with parent/carers, students and schools to obtain relevant information

- Support to the academies and preparation of the aptitude workshops

- Producing management data and statistics to evaluate the admissions process and future planning

We are keen to attract individuals with proven experience working within a school or similar establishment and a good working knowledge of Admissions and Appeals as well as MS Office and SIMS. 

You will be a proactive, articulate individual with excellent IT skills who can meet deadlines and complete tasks to the highest standards.  The successful candidate will have a good attention to detail, the ability to prioritise competing demands and experience of dealing with young people.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels will be key.

BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts Academy is a state-funded, high-performing 14 to 19 academy specialising in creative, digital and performing arts. The brand-new landmark building, located at the hub of the digital and creative industries in the West Midlands, opened September 2011. It has superb facilities for academic, vocational and extra-curricular activities. BOA is 100% selective, based on aptitude, and as a result, it is unique in its admissions criteria.

Whilst students have talent in their chosen pathway subjects, there is a full range of academic ability. Alongside their vocational courses, students in Year 10 and 11 study an additional eight GCSE’s including English, Maths and Science. In Year 12 and 13 students can opt to study one or two additional A Levels.
