We are seeking to appoint highly experienced, enthusiastic and motivated advisory teachers of deaf and hearing impairment, to join the multi-disciplinary SEN Specialist Support service that includes experts in visual impairment and physical disabilities/complex medical needs. Full-Time & Part-time positions.

Applicants that do not have the mandatory qualification for the full time position but are undergoing and/or willing to undertake the training are invited to apply. Applicants for the part-time position should be fully qualified. The positions are available either on a full-time or part-time basis.

The posts will provide an exciting opportunity for lively and committed teachers to work with children, young people and their families as well as facilitating the inclusion of pupils with hearing impairment in mainstream schools. The work of both teachers will cover all ages and abilities.

The successful candidates will need to have substantial successful experience of working with children, ideally in primary and secondary settings with hearing impairment needs. The candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a strong team ethos and be able to motivate, challenge and inspire colleagues, school staff and other professionals. The ability to provide advice, support for individual pupils is essential.

Applicants should have a current driving licence, and have the use of a car, for which a mileage allowance is paid.
