Afternoon Receptionist

Working hours: Monday to Friday 12:30 to 17:00

22.5 hours per week, Term Time only (39 weeks)

An opportunity has arisen to work within our support team in the role of School Receptionist in a job share with the Morning Receptionist.

As receptionist, your role will be vital and varied. You will be the initial point of contact for incoming phone calls, visitors, students, staff, and enquiries and, as such, must be well-presented with a professional, friendly approach. You will contribute towards the smooth running of the school, fulfilling the school’s commitment to a high quality of service, and will promote and embody the school’s ethos.

What qualities are we looking for? 

  • friendly, flexible, proactive and positive with a clear capacity and desire to work well with the staff, pupils, parents, school governors, school visitors and other stakeholders  
  • able to provide confidential, efficient and effective administration support for the school 
  • an ability to work under pressure, particularly in the event of situations where liaison with emergency services, transport companies etc. is required. 
  • an effective communicator and team worker with an excellent attention to detail.
