Sidmouth College, recently judged by OFSTED to be a 'Good' school, is seeking to appoint an experienced, skilled, enthusiastic, flexible and motivated person to support the Student Development Centre as a Alternative Curriculum and Numeracy HLTA from November 2020.

The successful candidate will be a flexible and motivated person with high expectations of all students. You will also be expected to build good relationships with children, their parents, teachers and other professionals. You will be able to use your own initiative, have good communication skills, be professional and have a high standard of education.

The role will be varied and the successful applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to work in a flexible and supportive manner. The post holder will work under the instruction guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for students and to assist the teacher in the management of students and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or may regularly take place outside the main teaching area.

The successful candidate will also be required to work with small groups and, on occasion, teach classes and cover lessons. See the attached job information pack for more information.

Working hours are 30.41 hours over five days per week for 39 weeks including inset days.
