Alumni Coordinator

One of seventeen in the movement, UWC Atlantic College, founded in 1962, is the original United World College. Perched above the Bristol Channel approximately 20 miles west of Cardiff, our 360 students study the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and take part in an outstanding co-curricular programme in support of the UWC mission.  

Enjoying a spectacular location at St. Donat’s Castle, the 16 – 19 year olds are drawn from over 90 nationalities, with 60% of our students being non-native English speakers.  

Working as part of our Development and External Relations Team, your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to young people will enable you to develop positive relationships and to initiate “Friendraising” with current students and recent alumni.  In turn, this will mean that your targeted programmes and initiatives will create strong, enduring and mutually-beneficial relationships with the current student body and alumni to increase their intellectual and emotional ties to the College and maximise their engagement and support.  

You will be responsible for devising, delivering and managing an increased level of alumni engagement activity amongst the under 30’s whilst creating and implementing programmes that facilitate the transition from student to new graduate and therefore  increasing participation/giving rates amongst the Leavers and Younger Alumni.  This post is an ideal opportunity for those interested in a career in fundraising/development and alumni relations and in gaining a broad range of experience in the charity and education sector.  

The employment package will be commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and will include the following:   

• Salary c£22,000
