Ambitious College - Chair of Governing Body

Ambitious about AutismHaringey

“Contributing to and supporting the strategic direction of such a fantastic College as the Chair of Governors has been an absolute privilege.  Seeing the outcomes and the impact the College has on young people's lives is inspiring and worth every moment of my time as Chair.” Previous Chair of Governors, Ambitious College

Ambitious College is a specialist day college for autistic young people. It is a happy and vibrant community where autistic young people learn, thrive and achieve. We are looking to appoint a Chair of our Governing Body as our current Chair retires.

Are you as passionate as we are about making the ordinary possible for children and young people with autism? If so this role presents a perfect opportunity to join us on our journey.

Ambitious about Autism is developing its next 3 year Ambitious Futures Strategy which will, in turn, inform the college 3 year development plan.

Our College Governing Body is made up of Governors from all walks of life and many come to us through a variety of routes and with a range of different backgrounds, skills and experiences. They are all volunteers who work together for the benefit of the College and are the link between the College and the community it serves. Governance is key in supporting and challenging the College to achieve the best it can, and to ensure outstanding progress for its learners.

This challenge is both exciting and significant and I hope very much that you will consider this opportunity to contribute to our future and the lives of young people with autism.

For further details please see the attached recruitment pack, or alternatively please contact Poppy Lindsley on for an informal discusson.
