The Animal Care Department at South Staffordshire College requires a part time Animal Care Teacher.

We are looking for a keen, energetic, and enthusiastic Teacher to join our Animal Care department and to have an active role in the development and growth of our provision.  The successful candidate will prepare and deliver classes and assessment activity to learners across a range of full and part time programmes from Entry Level through to HE.

Experience within the Animal Care industry is essential. Familiarity with requirements of awarding bodies in the education sector would be an advantage. 

The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards a professional teaching qualification and have delivery experience and a genuine interest in delivering practical and theoretical sessions as well as providing support and inspiration to our learners. 

Applicants should ideally have a qualification in an animal management related subject  to Level 4. Experience with internal verification and the delivery of Maths and/or English, would also be an advantage.
