An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term, full time Animal Keeper to join this expanding, successful and highly motivated team. This is an exciting time to join the Animal, Equine and Veterinary Nursing Department at Eccles Sixth Form College, as we expand our already extensive animal collection and move towards full zoo accreditation.  The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of practical husbandry, health and welfare of a range of taxa. You will be responsible for the day to day care for all of the animals at Eccles Sixth Form College, with a direct responsibility for the small domestic and small zoo mammal section.  Candidates should have extensive knowledge and a minimum of 2 years professional experience of working within an animal collection. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with a range of small domestic and exotic mammal species, including providing exceptional welfare standards, knowledge of nutrition and enclosure design,. You will be well motivated, responsive to change and innovative with good communication skills. The role requires flexibility and commitment. You will be required to work weekends.
