We seek an outstanding leader to speak authoritatively for our membership of over 18,000.

The next General Secretary will be an experienced leader with a track record of success in managing organisational and political complexity. She or he will combine first-class strategic abilities with the intellect, gravitas and personal authority to lead a large and broad membership association and secure significant national influence. The General Secretary will build on the Association's considerable strengths, supporting an increasingly diverse membership to seize the opportunities and meet the challenges of a rapidly reforming education system.
