Job overview

Here at South Thames College, we are now looking for an Apprentice Junior Support Technician to provide technical support to ensure the availability of services across all of the technologies used by the Colleges.


You will assist our Support Technicians in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of end-user computer equipment, through the effective installation, configuration, performance management and trouble-shooting. You will also assist in maintaining audio-visual equipment, printers and scanners and other peripheral devices in all areas.


So, if you are educated to GCSE level at grade C or above in English and Maths and have a genuine passion for and an understanding of the role and purpose of IT support, then we would love to hear from you.


We also ask that you are pro-active, have the ability to work on your own initiative and can be flexible to meet the needs of the job. A Microsoft MCSA or equivalent qualification would be an advantage, however, this is not essential.
