Job overview

Want to kick off your career, earn a living and train at the same time?  We could have just the Apprenticeship role for you……. Your journey starts here.

Do you love the idea of working with children and young people? Are you passionate about improving pupils’ life chances? This is a great opportunity for enthusiastic, motivated apprentices to join one of our schools friendly and hardworking support teams.

Castle Phoenix Trust is a growing multi-academy trust which was founded in February 2013 on the success of the Caludon Castle Teaching School (the original trust member). Currently there are 5 schools within the Trust – Caludon Castle School (Coventry), Kingsbury Secondary School (Warwickshire), Foxford Community School (Coventry), Hill Farm Primary School (Coventry), and Richard Lee Primary School (Coventry).

Undertaking an apprenticeship through our Trust as part of a cohort of apprentices will provide you with the chance to build relationships and experiences that stretch beyond your immediate school. With a wealth of knowledge to draw upon and plenty of experiences and opportunities available you will benefit from being able to work with your peers and support one another to achieve your apprenticeship.

We have apprenticeship opportunities in the following areas:-

• Business Administration (3 positions, one for Human Resources, one for general admin, hospitality and learning resources at Caludon and one general admin at Kingsbury)

• Teaching Support

• ICT (Shared services)

• Site Services (Shared services)

• Physical Education Technician

• Food Technology Technician

• Performing Arts Technician (Potential Shared services)

These are unique opportunities to combine providing specialist support, whilst also observing a wide range of lessons across a range of years for classroom based roles, and business focused activities for office based roles.  Enabling you to glean good practice from colleagues and teachers.   These opportunities provides scope to develop knowledge, skills and experience that could be a stepping stone to permanent employment.

We provide comprehensive induction training so that you can shadow our other staff, get a really good understanding of our systems and policies and have the opportunity to ask questions and get to know our students during your induction programme.

If this is the type of role you have been looking for, then come and see us in action and find out more about what these roles can offer. If you would like to discuss one of these posts further or arrange a visit to one of your Schools, please contact the HR team on 024 76 444822 or by email at HumanResources@caludoncastle.co.uk

Our Schools have a great deal to be proud of.  Our Castle Phoenix Trust profile, means that we have motivated students and staff, and a host of exciting opportunities.   We offer a range of benefits to staff which include cycle to work, free parking, an employee discount scheme and a commitment to staff wellbeing and recognition initiatives through our wellbeing committee and people strategy.  Some of our school sites also provide discounted access to their on-site gym and swimming pool. (See our Apprenticeship booklet for more information)

At the end of your apprenticeship you will have achieved a nationally recognised qualification, and gained valuable work experience that could provide a range of openings for your chosen career.
