Job overview

 The Apprenticeship department within New College Durham are looking to appoint a systems officer, to focus upon the financial and contractual aspects of the Apprenticeship programme. The candidate must strive upon producing accurate reports and pay attention to detail.

The main purpose of the role is to produce financial agreements for apprenticeship programmes, carry out eligibility checks, validate starts, and monitor compliance during the learner journey by liaising with the Employment Relationship Advisors and Apprenticeship Liaison Officers. Validating achievement claims and keeping the learners ILR updated throughout their programme.

You will create financial agreements for employers, complete payment profiles and liaise with the finance dept. to ensure employers are invoiced accurately and timely, including notification of changes identified throughout the apprenticeship programme. Including co-ordination of the payment process to ensure timely payment of employer financial incentives.

The post requires someone who is highly organised with a track record of being able to prioritise own workload, good ICT skills and the ability to work with financial records.
