30 hours per week, term-time only plus 2 INSET days

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and suitably experienced Art and Design (inc Food Technology) Technician to join a thriving, diverse Art and Design team. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the Art, Design & Technology department including ordering and storing materials, preparation of materials for ceramic sculpture, print and photography and mounting and organising student exhibitions. You will bring with you a strong knowledge of art, good organisational skills, patience and a keen sense of humour along with a commitment to support our teachers and students.

The successful candidate will need a proven background in Art & Design with a qualification in this area.

We offer a flexible CPD programme which staff can tailor to their own needs which includes coaching and training for new entrants to the profession and to support career returners. We are very happy to discuss flexible working arrangements including part-time working and job-sharing.

Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge is a small but growing community secondary school serving the families of South Oxfordshire and North Reading.

The school joined Maiden Erlegh Trust in August 2018 and are on a journey of improvement.
