Job overview
This is a great opportunity for a Art and Design Teacher to join our Summer school in the heart of Central London.The postholder will be responsible for planning, delivery and monitoring of classes to our Summer School learners and will play a full role in the everyday life of the schools, including duties, cover, meetings and extra-curricular activities.
About ICS
Established in 1979, ICS is all year round Independent IB School for students from 3 to 17 years old. Summer School is recognised as a Centre of Excellence, based on a 2016 British Council inspection which placed ICS among the top English language schools in the UK for young people.
As lessons are project based, we encourage learners to research new information by using books, computers and iPads. English is learnt through a variety of disciplines such as geography, maths, science, art, drama and music as well as English classes. Classes are connected to a weekly project or theme, which is linked to the weekly excursion.
Working hours
08.30 – 16.45 Monday – Friday (including breaks) on a full-time fixed term contract
Start & End dates
Monday 25 June to Friday 20 July (4 weeks)
You will be also required to attend a paid induction on Saturday 23 June.
