ART AND DESIGN TECHNICIAN AND GALLERY MANAGER

Chigwell School seeks to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Art and Design Technician and Gallery Manager. The role will involve providing support to the Head of Art and Design, Art Teachers and pupils to assist with the smooth running of the Art and Design Department. In addition you will be responsible for running the School Gallery. This will involve the promotion of the Gallery across the School and wider community as well as planning, organising and promoting the exhibitions and events. The Gallery forms a part of the department’s enrichment programme and hosts several exhibitions throughout the year by pupils and other artists and designers.

Successful applicants need to have a qualification in relevant areas of Art and Design and be able to work well as part of a team as well as independently. Good organisation and communication skills are essential. Practical experience of working within a school environment would be advantageous.
