Art & Drama Teacher (KS1 & KS2)

April 2023 to Summer Term (with the potential to become permanent from September 2023)
This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and highly motivated (KS1 and KS2) teacher, with a particular interest in Art and/or Drama. Both these creative subjects are highly regarded elements of the school’s co-curricular programme. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver innovative lessons to children across the primary age range, and should be willing to support the Head of Art and Head of Drama with the school's end of year productions.
Applications are welcome from experienced or newly qualified teachers. This post may also include teaching other subjects from across the curriculum to a range of year groups. This role is for the Summer Term with the potential to become a permanent position from the new academic year.
Our boys and girls gain places and scholarships at some of the most prestigious day and boarding schools in the country. However, while our academic standards are very high, this is not to the detriment of all the other vital elements of our provision nor to that of our core tenet: a happy and well-spent childhood. A broad and balanced curriculum is central to our history and ethos, and success in the creative arts or on the sports fields is celebrated and encouraged just as much as success in the traditional academic subjects.
The successful candidate will join a highly supportive and friendly working community where collaboration across all parts of the school is the norm. We are unashamedly proud of the fact that our staff look forward to coming to school as much as our children.
Completed application forms should be emailed to Miss Sarah Pitt, HR Department – sarah@gardenhouseschool.co.uk and include a personal statement explaining your reasons for applying for the post and outlining your experience and suitability for the role.
For further information, please contact Miss Sarah Pitt, HR Department, by email sarah@gardenhouseschool.co.uk or by telephoning 020 7730 1652. A full job description is attached for information.
Closing date: Friday, 24th February 2023
Interviews: week commencing 27th February 2023
