Carshalton High School for Girls is a high achieving school judged by Ofsted in November 2017 as Good in all categories and Good overall.

Governors are seeking to appoint an Art & DT Technician to join our Art & Technology Department. 

Applicants must have some knowledge, and preferably experience, of this or a similar role. Applicants will need to integrate within our friendly Art & Technology Department as well as needing excellent communication skills to develop a good relationship with students and staff. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability to manage, monitor and maintain accurate stock/equipment records. 
  • The ability to work as part of a team, understand classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these. 
  • Good communication skills both written and oral and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and students. 
  • Good planning and organisational skills. 
  • The ability to work on own initiative and to prioritise and adapt when working under pressure in order to meet deadlines. 
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail.

About Carshalton High School for Girls

Carshalton High School for Girls is a highly successful, popular 11 to 18 comprehensive school.  There are 1450 students on roll, over 80 teaching staff and a number of support staff who make a major contribution to the daily smooth running of the school.  Staff work as a cohesive team setting the highest professional standards as an example to the students.  Students enjoy positive and co-operative relationships with staff and it is very rare if an external visitor to the school does not comment on the high calibre of the students and the positive working environment.  We are part of the Girls’ Learning Trust.
