Art / Design & Technology Technician

Can you inspire our students in the subjects of Art and Design & Technology? Are you passionate about these two subject areas, and keen to find a job where you can support both departments? Leigh Academy Blackheath are looking for an Art / Design & Technology Technician to join the academy as soon as possible, enabling them to strengthen their successful departments even further.

Playing a pivotal role in the organisation and support to our teachers and leaders, our successful candidate will be knowledgeable about these subject areas, professional and motivated. Applicants should have a minimum qualification of an A Level in an Art / Design & Technology remit, or appropriate industry experience. You'll be an effective communicator and able to use your initiative. A flexible ‘can do’ attitude is also essential, as is the ability to provide the very best levels of service to all employees and stakeholders in the faculties. Our successful candidate will be committed to helping students achieve to the best of their ability. You will be able to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new ideas.

This is a permanent, full time position which offers an actual salary of £19,224 per annum based on 37 hours per week, Term Time only. ​​​​​​​

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2020, our Trust will comprise 28 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 15 primaries and 2 special) educating over 16,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff.  We also have one further secondary academy in the development phase, due to open in September 2021.
