The Marvell College requires an Art, Design & Technology Technician

Term time only – plus 2 days with immediate effect 

Salary:  Grade 3 SCP 3 – 5  £18,562 - £19,312 FTE

Actual salary £15,563 - £16,192

Hours: 37 per week                           

The Marvell College are looking to appoint an Art, Design & Technology technician to work as part of a team of committed, caring and enthusiastic staff who share the college philosophy that all students should have the opportunity to achieve.  The college is committed to appointing high quality staff and supports their development.

The successful candidate will; 

• Play an important role in supporting the teaching staff within the Art, Design Technology department. 

• Ensure the safe and proper use and maintenance of resources and equipment. 

• Provide technical and administrative support to the Art, Design & Technology department, including some in-class support with student activities.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, encouraging and have high expectations for the learning, progress and personal development of young people.  

The Marvell College has gone from strength to strength since receiving a “Good” Ofsted report in July 2019. Since then, the school has been oversubscribed every year. About The Marvell College

The Marvell College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school in the East Riding of Yorkshire, serving students from the age of 11-16. The secondary school, situated in Kingston upon Hull has approximately 1129 students on record.

The Marvell College was established in 1953. Formerly Barham High School for girls and Jervis High School for boys, the schools later combined as one co-educational establishment and was renamed Andrew Marvell School. The secondary school converted to academy status in 2016 and changed names to The Marvell College. £27 million has been invested into learning facilities across the academic departments, which include a fully equipped gym, music recording studio, a dance and drama studio and science and eco garden.
