22.5 hours a week, 40 weeks a year

Grade F, points 6 - 7  (FTE salary: £19,698 - £20,092pa / pro rata salary: £10,507.58 - £10,717.75pa) 

Hours of work approx. 8am – 4pm Monday, Tuesday and Friday (30 minutes unpaid lunch break) (please note specific days required may change in the future)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking to appoint an Art, Design & Technology Technician. You will support the needs of students and staff in the Design & Technology and Art departments to enable the smooth daily running of DT and Art lessons.  Ensuring materials are prepared and the department’s machinery and equipment is safe and clean to use. You will also be required to undertake first aid training, machine training as well as Health and Safety training. 

The key responsibilities of the role will be to maintain tools and machines within the D&T department. Prepare materials for D&T and Art lessons and to support students in workshop with practical work on specialist equipment.

 The successful candidate will:

• Have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude

• Organised and calm in a busy environment

• Have to meet the person specification and will be required to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.  Development opportunities will be offered.  All staff are encouraged to study further and the Trust will actively support staff to obtain relevant further qualifications where possible.

Elizabeth Woodville School is an inclusive comprehensive school with approximately 1100 students.
