At Oakbridge Federation we have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Play/Art therapist to join our nurturing Federation.

Our Federation consists of two primary schools, Forster Park Primary and Rangefield Primary School both of which are 2 form entry.  We are situated in Downham and Whitefoot wards in Lewisham.

Both schools  have opened a Nurture unit in the past few years and we now wish to recruit an Art/Play therapist to enable us to support the needs of  our children.  We believe that in order  for our children to achieve academically they must also have their social and emotional needs met.

The role will be a mixture of 1:1 sessions and small group work across the two schools, depending on the age of the children and their needs.

The successful applicant, will work 2 days in each school every week and the third day will be spent on administration tasks/planning sessions/planning training for staff and report writing for outside agencies and School reports.  Previous experience of working with primary age children in school is essential to this role.

It is essential that you feel we are the Federation for you, therefore would recommend that you visit prior to application.  For any queries or to arrange a visit to the Federation, please contact Executive Headteacher:  Mrs M Fenniche on 07977 711021 or email mfenniche1.209@lgflmail.org.

References will be requested for those short listed ONLY and prior to interview.   Only those shortlisted for interview will be contacted.

Oakbridge Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Offers of employment are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure and other employment checks.

About Rangefield Primary School

MISSION STATEMENT

All members of our school community have the right to respect and to experience equality of opportunity.

We will endeavour to provide an environment that is safe and secure, in which the children will be valued, respected and intellectually challenged, in a context of high expectation and rigour.

Opportunities will be provided to enable all pupils to reach their full potential, acknowledging what the children bring to the learning process from their previous experiences in and out of school.

We aim for parents to feel confident that the provision their children receive from the school will help them develop intellectually, morally, socially and spiritually to become independent, educated, participating members of society with a desire to learn and develop throughout their lives.

We believe this should be the shared vision of all parents, staff and Governors of the school and that all should strive to achieve that goal.
