About the School

Jumeirah College is a GEMS Premium Secondary School which delivers the National Curriculum for England, offering the full range of GCSE and A level courses. The College has been repeatedly judged to be Outstanding in inspections. Although non-selective at admission, our students achieve exceptional exam results which compare to top UK schools. In 2017 90% of GCSE results were A*-B, and at A level 54% of all grades were A*/A with 83% A*-B. This success enables our students to move on to the very top universities around the world, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard and Yale.

About the Role

From September 2019 we are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Art to join the College. 
 

The successful candidate will work in an exceptional department which is both extremely popular and successful.  In 2018 over 100% of GCSE and A-Level candidates gained A*-B and at GCSE 77% gained grades 8-9(A-A*) and at A Level 89% gained A*/A. The opportunities which Art present for students is central to the philosophy of the school. As a result, this appointment is crucial to the continued development of Jumeirah College.

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • A certified teaching qualification with exceptional subject knowledge and experience of leading a high performing teaching team.
  • Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level or equivalent.  We are seeking to appoint talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individuals. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching. 
  • At least 2 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England. 
  • To be considered for these posts you must hold a B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
  • The successful applicant will possess the willingness to commit to Extra Curricular activities.

About GEMS Founders Mizhar School

GEMS Founders Al Mizhar School (GFM) is a value for money National Curriculum of England School which opened in September 2018 modelled on the highly successful GEMS Founders Dubai School. It educates students from FS1 to Year 10 and will build to a full FS to Year 13 School of 4800 students in subsequent years.

The school has a focus on high academic standards, computational thinking, social and emotional Education as well as inclusivity to allow all students to succeed through a range of academic and vocational pathways.
