Boundary Oak School is a growing IAPS and ISA co-educational day and boarding school, for 2-16 year olds, outside Fareham, very close to Portsmouth and Southampton.

Located among 30 acres of beautiful English countryside, with fields, woods and stunning views, Boundary Oak is a magical setting for a child’s education. A wonderful place to come to teach. It is also steeped in history; the Grade II listed main building, Roche Court, was built by Peter de Roches, the Bishop of Winchester, in the 13th Century and hosted King John of England and his son Henry III. The school itself has celebrated its centenary having been founded in 1918.

Boundary Oak School takes pride in its strong family ethos and the personalised learning it provides. This is a community of learning built upon mutual trust between teachers and pupils with a strong shared sense of purpose and a commitment to high standards driven by passion and enthusiasm.

We look to foster an intellectual curiosity to develop freedom of thought and expression and support our pupils to take responsibility for their own personal and collective learning.

Central to our ethos at Boundary Oak is our aim to promote a love for learning in all our pupils. We do this by not only equipping them with lifelong skills (critical thinking and problem solving, imagination and innovation, communication and teamwork, flexibility and adaptability, resilience and self-confidence), but by encouraging and developing their passions.

The world is full of wonder and opportunity but what some people lack is the desire to seek out that wonder and opportunity. At Boundary Oak we create the desire and passion in our pupils. The breadth and depth of our knowledge-rich curriculum and the range of co-curricular activities we offer, up to 80 clubs per term, ensure that our pupils can find a passion to drive, motivate and engage them.

Our improving facilities include an art and DT centre, new food and nutrition classroom, theatre, library, ICT and 3D printing suite, science laboratories, sports hall, woodland school, climbing wall, outdoor learning area (mini South Downs, wild butterfly haven, wildlife pond and wild flower meadow), swimming pool, basketball courts, hockey and tennis Astroturf, and extensive sporting grounds. With ambitious renovation and development plans continuing, this is an exciting time to join our inspiring school community.

We are very proud of our school and pupils. Our last ISI inspection graded our pupils’ attitude to learning, communication skills and all aspects of their personal development as “Excellent”. We look to instil in our pupils the values we hold dear, our 7 Rs: Reflective, Responsive, Resourceful, Resilient, Relentless, Respectful and Responsible.

Boundary Oak School is an amazing place for children to learn, grow and develop; it’s a very special community that my family and I are honoured to be part of. Please do come and pay us a visit so that I can show you first hand.

Sophie Savage, Headmistress
