Art Teacher

St Dominic’s School, an Autism Accredited school rated “Good” by Ofsted, is a weekly residential and day school catering for up to 110 students between the age of 7 – 19 who have a range of academic abilities but with complex special needs.

St Dominic's offers a truly multi-disciplinary approach. Teachers work with therapy and care staff to enhance the learning process and provide an exciting waking day curriculum.

We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and energetic Art Teacher with the ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team. The successfully candidate must be able to teach art across key stages and ability ranges up to and including A Level. 

In addition to the traditional arts curriculum, a significant amount of the KS4 and KS5 timetable is dedicated to photography, filmmaking and creative media. 

A background in graphic design or experience, interest and understanding of filmmaking, photography and digital art would be an advantage. 

As all the pupils and students have an EHCP, the teaching groups are very small and every class has teaching assistants present.
