We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified Art Teacher to join our successful and growing school in Moscow.

About the School

The English International School Moscow - East (https://englishedmoscow.com/) is a British style, international school in Moscow. It offers learning and teaching experiences based on the Early Years Foundation Stage and English National Curriculum enhanced to meet the needs of its international student body.  Secondary students are prepared for Cambridge University and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE and A Level examinations.

The school is accommodated in well-resourced premises that are situated in the residential district of Novogireevo a 25 minute metro ride from Central Moscow  It has a capacity for 250 pupils from 2 – 18 years of age, making it unique in the city with regard to its smaller school and family feel environment.  The school currently has a student population of over 120 pupils. Class sizes are all under 18 pupils. We have also recently gained full accreditation from CIS.

The school also forms part of the Orbital Education group, an expanding group of international schools providing a British Education to an internationally diverse student population.  In addition to our 3 schools in Moscow, the Orbital group have schools in other culturally attractive and historically important destinations, such as Spain, Hungary, Shanghai, Ecuador, Slovenia and the Middle East, with exciting plans to develop schools in new regions across the globe.  As part of the Orbital group, our staff have the opportunity to work and collaborate with colleagues around the world, supporting them to achieve excellent outcomes and enabling their students to achieve their potential.  After two years’ successful employment, staff also have the opportunity to be considered for roles at other schools within the group, giving them the opportunity to see the world at the same time as progressing their career. 

About the Role

The role is due to start from September 2018 and will be to teach Art to Primary and Secondary students in the school, an ability to also offer EAL will be an advantage.  An excellent remuneration package is available.

Applicants are invited from teachers currently working in the UK maintained or independent school sectors and from those already posted overseas.

Applicants must have a relevant Bachelor degree from a reputable UK University (or equivalent), Qualified Teacher Status, with either a PGCE or BEd from the UK, a minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a maintained, independent or international British style school, and experience of teaching the English National Curriculum at KS1 or KS2.  Applications from fluent speakers of English are preferred.

Interviews will take place by skype and will commence immediately from the date of advertising until the post is filled. 

Prior to starting the post, the employee will have to present a current DBS certificate or Police Check from their current country of employment along with original and notarised copies of their qualifications.
