Due to stable growth our team are now looking to recruit an experienced Art Teacher on a 12 month FTC to join our Focus School Stoke Poges Campus until December 2019, to teach KS3, 4 and 5. This is brand new position offering an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, highly motivated individual to join an organisation who genuinely seek to promote excellence in education.

We are looking for conscientious and hard-working individuals who are passionate about education, pay meticulous attention to detail and who wish to maintain our environment to the highest standard. Our goal is to become a leading edge school in every aspect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibilities of this post are to plan a programme of study for students in Years 7-13 that meets the learning aims of the school
  • Support the development of a vibrant Art programme for students aged 7-11
  • Deliver the programme to all students across the age range in order that students may make good progress in their learning journey
  • Ensure the Self Directed Learning philosophy of the school is presented in an age appropriate manner to all students
  • Regularly assess progress in order to support and challenge the learning journey
  • Plan learning activities to support, stretch and challenge students of all abilities
  • Ensure all plans cover the programmes of studies for the appropriate examinations within the subject
  • Assess, monitor and track the learning of students in line with school policy 
  • Demonstrate a strong classroom ethos including management of learning and behaviour
