Salary: Scale 3 Point 14-17 (starting salary £16, 849 per annum) 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing outstanding Art provision in this vibrant and happy school. We are seeking experienced Art Technician to support our Art teachers and students at key stages 3 and 4. You will be passionate about Art and education and committed to securing excellent outcomes for children of all abilities. You will join a dynamic team of teaching and associate staff, all determined to ensure that the school maintains its reputation for excellence.

The primary role will be to prepare Art practical lessons and resources and provide technical support to enhance the delivery of the curriculum by the Art department. You will also have responsibility for co-ordinating the displays around the school and will be expected to involve yourself fully in the extra-curricular activities of the department. 

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of young people. The successful candidate will be DBS checked.

Oaklands is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in East London. It is a community state school as well as a NSS (National Support School] that provides support to other schools. A smaller than average secondary school, it will provide 850 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18, when fully subscribed.

With over 20 years’ worth of educational success, Oaklands has been a specialist school for science since 2003 and became a specialist modern foreign language school in 2008.
