Job Description
We are seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic Art Technician to support the art department within the Academy. The successful candidate will be required to commence as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will provide assistance in the preparation of art materials and to help prepare resources in lessons each day as well as maintaining the departmental displays in classrooms and the corridors. With a keen eye for detail and an interest in Art & Design, you will ideally have experience of working in a similar environment. The need for flexibility is required to support with the delivery of the full curriculum and exhibiting of work.

About Hummersknott Academy
Hummersknott Academy is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school in Darlington, County Durham. At its most recent inspection there were 1,228 students aged 11-16 on the school roll.
Hummersknott Academy was founded in 1955 as a girls’ high school and converted to academy status in 2012. In 2007, the school underwent an extensive £15 million regeneration project. The area of Hummersknott is located in the west of Darlington and has a population of around 3,500. Extensive facilities at the school include a dance studio, ceramics area, recording studio, sports hall and a 3G artificial football pitch.
