The role
We are seeking to appoint a creative and dynamic Art Technician who is able to provide technical support for the Art Department, by the preparation of tools, equipment and materials for lessons and displays. The Art Technician will also provide support for all the Art staff in the classroom and assist pupils with routine practical tasks, as well as undertake a practical health and safety role for the department.
About You
You will have excellent communication, numerical and organisational skills. You will also have an Appropriate first degree or equivalent qualification. Previous similar role within a secondary school/Academy would be a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You will need to be able to work under pressure, have an eye for detail and understand the complex relationship between data and achievement.
You will be enthusiastic about working within a school environment and supporting the needs of the Academy.
