The Harrodian School, an excellent independent school based in South West London, requires an enthusiastic Art Technician to join their successful Art Department. The position will initially be part-time, at (circa) three days per week, but there may be the opportunity to progress to full-time from September 2018. This position is term time only. 

As Art Technician, you will participate in the development and preparation of Art lessons, work closely with the Head of Art to assist with school displays and exhibitions, and generally provide support for teachers in the classroom. 

You will also prepare materials and equipment for three classrooms, make canvas frames, cut wood to paint, maintain stock, put in orders and help create project resources.

The successful applicant will be required to have an Art background, a good understanding of materials and processes and be able to work in response to the arising needs of others.

The Harrodian School is a mixed, non-denominational all-through independent day school situated in Barnes, South West London. The Harrodian School was founded by Lady Eliana and Sir Alford Houston-Boswell and opened in 1993. The school’s original intake of 65 students has expanded to over 900 students from the ages of 4-18. It offers state-of-the-art facilities, including a music centre, drama studios and expansive grounds.
