Fixed term contract for one Academic year 

Leighton Park School are looking for an enthusiastic recent Graduate to work with our Art Department.  You will be able to communicate with students and successfully pass on skills to others, particularly during activities time after lessons and on some Saturday mornings.  The Artist Residency and Art Technician’s role is to support the departmental staff and students within the 12 rooms/studios in the daily running of the department.  You will assist staff and students during lessons and ensuring a safe and clean working environment. You will also assist the department with running our evening Art and Design hobbies and activities sessions.

There will also be opportunity for a committed Artist to continue their own work within the Art Department and encourage the students through example so that they may gain an insight into the working processes of a professional artist.  At the start and end of your time at Leighton Park, there will be an opportunity to hold an exhibition in the School’s gallery.  The successful applicant will be required to support the wider life of the school community, including participation in visits and study trips.
