Artistic Director of Choral Partnerships

Salary: £32,000 per annum (£40,000 FTE) plus benefits

Hours: Part time, 28 hours per week

We are currently seeking an enterprising and gifted musician, artistic director, educator and communicator to lead our Choral Partnerships Programme, engaging with schools and communities and churches in areas where musical provision is limited or non-existent to deliver:

• Choral Music - developing school partnerships grounded in music offered by the Cathedral tradition (including that of currently under-represented composers)
• Advocacy – Continuous Professional Development for teachers, and advocacy for Cathedral Music amongst a diverse range of stakeholders

• be an outstanding musician and educator
• have a high degree of specialisation in engaging children and schools with music
• communicate confidently and clearly
• be comfortable with a high level of autonomy both in working practices and decision making
