The Institute of Applied Technology, based in the United Arab Emirates was founded in 2005 through Royal decree of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Abu Dhabi to offer Career-based Technical Education (CTE) in English at the secondary and tertiary levels.  The vision is to produce the scientists, engineers and technicians needed for the UAE to build a knowledge based economy.

ATHS has grown significantly from five to fourteen high schools located across all the seven emirates of the UAE, in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Western Region, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain, Ras Al Khaima and Al Fujairah; and has its Directorate based in Abu Dhabi.  They provide distinctive secondary school programs that integrate career and technical education with a rigorous academic core.

The Assessment Manager will be responsible for overall planning, budgeting, organizing, staff development, and coordination of activities required for student assessment. This position will require on-site inspection of the proper implementation of diagnostic; formative; and summative assessments in IAT academies and schools. It will also require identifying trends, improving practices, and informing critical decision-making.

Applicants are sought who fulfill the following  specification:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Preference will be given to candidates with Masters
  • A minimum of three years in a related work experience
  • Solid Experience in Exam Development and Data Analyses (related to student performance)
  • Solid experience in Bloom’s taxonomy, Data mining, Technical Writing of reports preferred.
