 A role with a global reach

Working with colleagues, Assessment Specialists, and other leading experts, the purpose of this role is to oversee the development and production of high-quality assessment materials, as well as to manage the marking and grading of syllabuses.  Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders from school partners to ministries, universities and consultants, the reach of your work will be global, positively impacting learners in countries including Afghanistan, Kenya and Myanmar.

 You will be based at our HQ, The Triangle Building, which is only 5 minutes from Cambridge Station.  Joining us in Assessment could be just the change you need!

 An eye for the detail

Checking, proofreading and signing off assessment materials, you will ensure that question papers and key documentation are produced effectively.  Managing the appointment and performance of Assessment Specialists, such as examiners, setters and vetters, you will ensure the accuracy of marking and overall product adherence to Cambridge Assessment International Education’s assessment standards.

Working with colleagues across Cambridge Assessment who are leading experts in their subject fields, you’ll have the opportunity to continually learn and develop your knowledge, whether that be formally or over an interesting conversation to be had over lunch with well-informed colleagues.

 About you

• Have a degree in mathematics or a closely related subject as well as a teaching qualification, a post graduate qualification in educational assessment, management or project management is highly desirable.

• Have extensive teaching or education related project management experience, you will now be looking for a role with more flexibility but want to still work with maths every day.

• Can establish and demonstrable leadership skills, whether that be in your subject or pastorally, you will be comfortable working autonomously and possess strong negotiation skills.  Possibly with experience in examining, you will be meticulous in your approach and in following procedures.
