The purpose of the role is to support and guide Apprentices to achieve timely success and you will be given independence to manage your workload.  

You will visit workplaces to carry out observations and professional discussions, assessment of portfolios and, for some subjects, college-based workshop delivery. 

This role is ideal for industry experts who seek a change of career, you will have relevant expertise and experience with proven occupational competency in one or more of the following subject areas, supported by a relevant qualification (at one level above that being assessed): 

New apprenticeship standards: 

• Chartered Manager (CMI) Level 6 

• Operational/Departmental Manager (ILM) Levels 3 or 5 

• HR Consultant/Partner (CIPD) Levels 3 or 5 

• Associate Project Manager (APM) Level 4 

• Professional Accounting Taxation Technician (AAT) Level 3 or 4 

• Customer Services Level 2 

Apprenticeship frameworks:  

• Business Administration, Level 2, 3 or 4. 

• Customer Services, Level 3. 

You will have an A1 Award or equivalent (or willing to obtain). A PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification is desirable.  The ability to travel independently between work placements throughout Sussex and Surrey is essential.

Chichester College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in West Sussex. It is a 16-plus institution with two main sites in Chichester and Pulborough, plus further outreach centres in Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and Worthing. It has links to local employers, most of a small to medium size. 

Chichester College of Arts, Science and Technology, as it was formerly known, opened in 1964. Chichester College has been offering work-based training since 1996. It has approximately 10,897 part-time learners and 3,732 full-time students.
