The group is currently home to a population of over 5,000 full-time students and around 500 students on higher education programmes. We have over 4,000 part-time or adult learners and 2,000 apprentices where we work with over 800 individual employers.  Our Sixth Form provision has a reputation for high academic achievement and excellence.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified individual with relevant experience within custodial care to join our Assessing team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To develop and maintain relationships with local employers who express an interest in NVQs at levels 2 & 3.

To ensure that all employers are able to offer sufficient opportunities for candidates to develop their skills and demonstrate their competency in all areas.
To complete all required information under the programme to include Initial Assessment and Individual Learning Plan for each candidate and to regularly review progress against this with the candidate and his/her workplace supervisor to ensure that they remain on track for the completion of their programme and to discuss and resolve any barriers to this.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Has experience and occupational competence in custodial care
  • Is qualified to level 3 in a relevant discipline.
  • Is an effective communicator, able to deal with all levels of management, trainees, tutors and supervisors
  • Holds a current driving licence and has access to their own car.
