Gloucestershire Professional Services (GPS) is recruiting an Assessor in Plumbing and Heating to join the Apprenticeship Hub based at Gloucestershire College.  

As an Assessor in Plumbing and Heating, you will work across a range of Level 2, 3 and 4 qualifications to deliver flexible, high quality training/assessments in the work based training area.

We know that it is important to have industry experts in the team and assessing experience is not essential- we will fully support you to complete your assessing qualification (CAVA) and by joining an experienced team, your colleagues will guide and coach you to develop into an experienced and successful assessor.

As an Assessor in Plumbing and Heating, you will:

• Motivate, inspire and lead learners in the achievement of their qualifications

• Support, train and guide learners and develop their personal and professional attitudes, skills and abilities with regard to assessment and verification

• Work closely with employers and the sales team to secure new business for the college

• Assess learners and provide feedback demonstrating a clear understanding of minimum requirements for competence whilst embedding maths and English

Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrable experience and occupational competency in Plumbing and Heating

• Minimum of Level 3 qualification in both Plumbing and Heating

• Willingness to work towards an assessor qualification (CAVA)
