Derby is a national hub of engineering excellence and we are currently looking to recruit an engineering industry specialist to join our team of assessors at Rolls Royce. You will undertake work-based assessments, supporting the young engineers of the future within a variety of settings, ensuring achievement of agreed performance and quality targets. You will be expected to maintain above average success rates in all areas, using innovation within your assessing and utilising e-learning opportunities where appropriate. The successful candidate will have experience of providing outstanding support for apprentices and will be flexible, self-motivated and dedicated to apprentice achievement and quality. Training and assessing experience within engineering apprenticeships is essential. A1 Assessor award (or equivalent) will be required, if not held, then you should be willing to work towards. V1 or equivalent would be desirable, as is an understanding of Awarding Bodies standards and frameworks. We are looking for someone who can bring not just industry knowledge and experience, but who can impart life skills and teach the apprentices to be effective and invaluable members of their workforce. If you have Engineering experience in fitting, maintenance, machining or labs we would like to meet with you and discuss the role.
