An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, passionate and ambitious Assistant Achievement Leader to join our Academy who will work with students and their parents to improve standards and academic outcomes. They will be responsible for promoting and instilling the Trust values of dedication, ambition, excellence, integrity and tradition into the children they support.

Smith’s Wood became an academy in April 2017 when it joined Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust, a family of four secondary schools in Birmingham and Solihull. This partnership enables the academy to share and develop practice as part of a wider group of academies and partners. Each Academy is unique and we celebrate our individuality but we all work collaboratively towards common goals. Our collective vision statement is ‘Enriching Lives; Transforming Futures’.

Smith’s Wood is fortunate indeed, as a PFI building, to have fabulous facilities for all our students and staff to use before and after school hours, including a gym and swimming pool. The academy is conveniently located as it is close to large road networks; there is ample onsite parking.
