The Laurus Trust is a rapidly expanding Multi-Academy Trust with a reputation for outstanding teaching and learning. We have a strong heritage. Our founder school, Cheadle Hulme High School, has been judged as Outstanding in its last two inspections. Gorsey Bank is a high performing primary in Wilmslow and we are also home to the Altius Alliance, a School Centered Initial Teacher Training provider which has been given the top grade by Ofsted.
As a result of our success, we are proud to have been selected to open five brand new schools, three of which opened in September 2018.
This is, therefore, an important stage in the development of The Laurus Trust. With our growth comes the opportunity for talented and dedicated staff to make their mark by creating and evolving our infrastructure and support networks.
That is why we are looking for an Assistant Caretaker to join us at this exciting time. The job can be physically demanding and will involve working a shift, may be split, between the hours of 6.00am – 7.00pm, Monday to Friday, predominantly at schools based in Cheadle Hulme and Wilmslow but on occasions you may be asked to work at any Laurus Trust Schools which include a school based in Tameside and another due to open in 2019 in Didsbury. Some overtime will be necessary to cover for evening and weekend events for which additional payment will be made at the appropriate overtime rates. The successful candidate must have their own vehicle to travel around and be prepared to train as a first aider and will be offered all relevant training.
This is an important appointment for the Trust as you will contribute to a team that provides a high quality service across all of our schools, delivering a positive operational and educational experience for all stakeholders.
In return, we recognise that our non-teaching leaders and staff are critical to the success of the Trust. We champion, celebrate and nurture their expertise and experience.
You will be joining an organisation that is committed to the development of all its staff. Our new Trust offices are an impressive working environment and we understand the need for, and importance of, flexible working practices.
