We are now looking for an ambitious and innovative assistant curriculum team leader, to work alongside the curriculum team leader to continue to embed the extensive work that has been done on the curriculum offer and improving student outcomes. The team are enthusiastic, motivated and work closely towards shared goals. The successful candidate will be required to teach students of all abilities at Key Stage 3 and 4 and will join an existing department of dedicated and hardworking colleagues. The successful candidate will motivate, challenge and inspire students through quality first teaching, and will be committed to the distinctive ethos of our school: Inspire, Believe, Achieve.
Applicants are expected to share the academy’s high aspirations and expectations for all students and staff. To be considered for this role you will need to be able to:
• raise attainment and improve the progress of all students in Science
• be an excellent practitioner with the ability to support and engage students to be the very best they can be.
• ensure that students access the support required to make progress.
In addition to delivering the science curriculum, the faculty organise a range of extra-curricular, raising aspirations and STEM events for students. We also have close links with our local primary and feeder schools and host primary events, utilising the facilities of our Sponsor college, CCSW.
