ASSISTANT CURRICULUM LEADER, CHEMISTRY  Full-time/Permanent  We are seeking a suitably qualified Assistant Curriculum Leader to deputise for the Curriculum Leader in his/her absence.  Applicants should have experience in the current AS/A2 level and applied specifications together with the ability to work within a team understanding the application of a range of teaching styles, including active learning approaches.  

The Sixth Form Colleges Teachers Pay Spine applies (£22,937-£38,364) plus Responsibility Allowance (£505-£1,917).  

Interviews to take place Monday, 13th March 2017.

Closing date for return of completed application forms is Tuesday, 7th February 2017 at 9.00am. Start date is Tuesday, 29th August 2017.

The Sixth Form College, Solihull is a sixth-form college for 16- to 19-year-olds in the town of Solihull, West Midlands. The college has more than 2,200 students. The large majority of courses are A-levels, but vocational courses are also available. 

Founded in 1974, the college boasts extensive sport facilities, as well as a library containing tens of thousands of books and digital resources. The Sixth Form College, Solihull has official links with a number of other educational institutions, including secondary schools and universities, via the Specialist Academies project.

The Sixth Form College, Solihull emphasises flexible study, with students having the freedom to select a wide variety of subjects in any combination. The college provides extensive support for students completing Extended Project Qualifications, as well as offering a number of BTEC and CACHE courses to supplement this. As part of the college’s ethos of academic flexibility, extra-curricular activities are also well supported, with many of these leading to additional rewards and qualifications, such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
